YouTube Blocked in China

October 19, 2007

Well this is beginning to really p*ss me off! First Flickr where I store my photos, then blogsome where I host this blog and NOW YouTube where I post all my videos.

This country may be progressing in many ways but it is significantly regressing in terms of internet access.

ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  1. Hey man,

I have been using http://blip.tv/ for the past year - a great service and allows for streaming of both YouTube-like flash video in addition to an option to stream the original source file format. Embedding, blogging, sharing of video encouraged. Customizable player and all-round cool operation.

What is up with The Great Nanny anyway? Must be a Party Congress going on…

  2. This latest blocking came “coincidentally” on the same day that a YouTube China service was launched. Methinks this is about money and not politics.

  3. Also blip.tv blocked as well .. using a proxy disables the ability to use Flash based video from what i can tell.
