Gettin’ My Boy From School
April 18, 2007
The other day I was in charge of picking up Carter from his preschool - a task I hadn’t done up until that point. I have to say it was pretty cool and it made me realize that I am in fact a father. I had assumed that by the time I would be a father that I would possess many of the qualities and traits my father had. When I was young I assumed that fathers were bald, always had change in their pocket to buy goodies with and could fix anything. Hey .. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. I hope for Carter and Nathan’s sake that mechanical ability only skips a generation.
When I arrived to get Carter he was initially saddened that mama hadn’t come to get him but that quickly gave way to unbridled exuberance. The video below should tell the tale.
